Fencing and Gates, Furnished and Installed

Background
The City of Los Angeles Harbor Department is issuing this solicitation for the procurement of fencing and gates, including installation services. The goal is to meet the annual requirements for chain-link fencing and gates, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards within the Harbor District. This contract aims to provide necessary materials and services to enhance security and infrastructure at the port facilities.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing chain-link fencing and gates, along with installation services. Specific items include:
- Chain-Link Fencing: Installation without barbed wire top, including line posts, top rail, and bottom tension wire for 500 feet or more.
- Chain-Link Fencing: Installation with a barbed wire top for 500 feet or more.
- Wrought Iron Gates: Including all components such as line posts (3" x 3" x 3/16" sq.), cross rails (2" x 2", 11-gauge), pickets (1" x 1" x 11 gauge), gate posts (4" x 4" x 3/16" sq.), and powder coating as needed.
- Demolition Services: Removal of existing fencing fabric and posts, including disposal at designated facilities.
- Shipping/Freight Charges: Vendor will prepay shipping costs for materials from manufacturer to vendor's location.
- Delivery Charges: All delivery charges must be included in the bid price.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective for one year from the date of execution, with two optional one-year renewal periods subject to approval by the Executive Director and Board of Harbor Commissioners.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed within the Los Angeles Harbor District, specifically at locations designated by the Harbor Department.
