Background
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) #12A2360 for Fence Removal and Replacement Services in Orange County.
The purpose of this contract is to enhance the security and functionality of the Stanton Maintenance Station by replacing the existing chain link fence with new wrought iron fencing. This aligns with Caltrans' mission to maintain safe and efficient transportation infrastructure.
Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, incidentals, and travel necessary to remove and legally dispose of approximately 1,320 linear feet of existing chain link fence and associated components.
The contractor will also furnish and install new wrought iron fencing along the perimeter of the Stanton Maintenance Station. Additionally, the contractor will install 590 linear feet of perforated sheet panel as specified in the scope of work outlined in STD 213, Exhibit A.
Period of Performance
The contract is estimated to commence on May 1, 2026, and will expire on April 30, 2027.
All services shall be performed during normal business hours from Monday to Friday between 6:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., excluding State holidays.
Place of Performance
The services will be performed at Caltrans District 12, Stanton Maintenance Station located at 8122 Katella Avenue, Stanton, CA 90680 in Orange County.
Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a current and valid C-13 Fencing Contractor license or a Class-23 Ornamental Metal Contractor license issued by the California Contractors State Licensing Board (CSLB).
Bidders must also have a valid registration with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) at the time of bid submission. The bid proposal must not exceed $461,000.00. Additionally, there are requirements for participation from Small Businesses (SB) and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE), including a minimum participation goal of 3% for DVBE.
