Facility Moving Services

Background
The Project Development Unit (PDU) provides construction services for new ground-up capital construction and renovation projects for the County of San Mateo properties. The PDU also manages the relocation of staff and equipment into the newly constructed and/or renovated spaces. To support the move process, the PDU is seeking proposals from firms for Moving Services in accordance with the Scope of Work outlined in this Request for Proposal (RFP).

Work Details
The contractor will provide moving services for office furniture, materials, records, appliances, and equipment typically found in a professional setting. This includes all labor, supervision, tools, equipment, transportation, permits, fees, taxes, incidentals, and materials necessary to perform the move. Specific items to be moved include:

- Standalone Office Furniture: Desks, chairs, bookcases, filing cabinets, display cabinets.
- Conference and Lobby Furniture: Tables, chairs.
- Modular Systems Furniture: Office furniture that requires assembly of partitions and desks.
- Wall hangings: Artwork, photographs, whiteboards.
- Technological Equipment: Computers, monitors, phones, printers (to be boxed by County ISD).

The contractor will also be responsible for assembling/disassembling furniture as needed for transport. County employees will box their office contents which the contractor will then move to their designated locations.

Period of Performance
The moving services will begin on June 30th, 2025, and end on January 30th, 2028. Work hours are limited to 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Place of Performance
All moves will occur within the County of San Mateo from one County building to another.
