EXT REC | CON26-0007 Fleming Bunker - RFQ

Background
The City and County of San Francisco, through its Recreation and Park Department, is issuing a Request for Quotes (RFQ) for refurbishment work at the Fleming Golf Course.
The goal of this contract is to enhance the quality and functionality of the golf course's bunkers, aligning with the department's mission to provide recreational spaces that meet community needs.

Work Details
The scope of work includes the refurbishment of thirteen existing bunkers at Fleming Golf Course. Specific tasks include:
1. Removing all old sand and pea gravel from inside the bunkers.
2. Removing sod and sand build-up for approximately a 6-foot buffer around each bunker, excavating to the original hard pan.
3. Replacing drainage pipes in each bunker as needed.
4. Installing the Better Billy Bunker system using a certified installer, DHR Golf Construction.
5. Installing approximately 220 tons of Pebble Beach White Sand to match Harding Park Golf Course specifications, sourced from Assured Aggregates.
6. Installing Tifway 2 sod from West Coast Turf with a sand base. Existing sod and sand material can be dumped on-site for reuse adjacent to Fleming Tee Box #6.

Period of Performance
The project is expected to be completed within 45 calendar days from the notice to proceed until substantial completion, followed by an additional 15 calendar days until final completion.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Fleming Golf Course located at 99 Harding Road, San Francisco, CA 94132.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a current California State License Board Class 'A' General Contractor’s License and have completed at least three Billy Bunker system golf course jobs within the past three years.
All bidders must also be Certified City Suppliers, which includes maintaining an updated City Supplier File and a current Business Tax Certificate.
