** 2025.04.10 - Response to Written Questions posted ** The Project Sponsor requests proposals from qualified firms interested in providing Special Inspection and Testing services for the 160 Freelon affordable housing project. 160 Freelon Housing Partners, L.P. was selected by the Mayor's Office of Housing and Community Development to develop an affordable housing project at 160 Freelon Street. 160 Freelon Street is a 12,800-square-foot (0.3-acre) site located in Central SoMa that has been dedicated to the City in lieu of fee generated by the 598 Brannan mixed use master development. 160 Freelon is a 100% affordable, 85-unit project comprised of approximately 102,000 gross square feet on a 0.30 acre parcel. It is a mid-rise building with nine stories of Type IB construction with a slab-on-grade and deep pile foundation with zero parking given the close proximity to a robust public transit system. The building exterior includes a combination of Hardie panel and cement plaster sliding, podium tile, perforated metal sunshades, and vinyl windows with aluminum storefront windows. The Project is administered by the San Francisco Mayor's Office of Housing and Community Development (MOHCD). The San Francisco Contract Monitoring Division has assigned a 20% Small Business Enterprise (SBE) participation goal. The Project Sponsor, MOHCD, and CMD strongly desire a team that represents the diversity of the City of San Francisco and, in particular, that of the neighborhood. As such, firms certified as SBEs, LBEs, DBEs, MBEs, and WBEs by the City and County of San Francisco, the State of California, or the federal government are strongly encouraged to reply to this request.
