This Request for Proposals (RFP#JUV2024-04) is being issued by the Juvenile Probation Department ("Department"). The Department is seeking qualifying qualified suppliers to provide proposals for Ergonomic Evaluations for Employees at the Juvenile Probation Department. Background
The Juvenile Probation Department (JPD) of the City and County of San Francisco is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP#JUV2024-04) to seek qualified suppliers for Ergonomic Evaluations for its employees. The goal is to reduce repetitive stress injuries and promote health awareness among staff.

The JPD aims to engage contractors that reflect the diversity of the city and include participation from disadvantaged communities.

Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive ergonomic office assessments and evaluations, including:

1) Comprehensive Office Ergonomic Evaluations which involve analyzing individual job tasks, workstation setup, history of symptoms, body mechanics, and workload practices;

2) Preventative Office Ergonomics Evaluations focusing on risk factor identification and equipment recommendations;

3) Follow-Up Visits as needed after evaluations;

4) Written reports detailing assessment dates, workstation configurations, ergonomic risk factors, employee education on ergonomic techniques, and recommendations for improving workstation efficiency.

Contractors must demonstrate knowledge of ergonomic principles and possess qualifications such as a minimum of five years of experience in ergonomic evaluation, a California license in Physical or Occupational Therapy, certification in ergonomics from a recognized organization, and a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field.

Period of Performance
The contract will have an initial term of three years with an option to extend for an additional two years, totaling five years.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations within the City and County of San Francisco as needed.
