Background
The Santa Ana Unified School District (SAUSD) is seeking proposals for the Expanded Learning Opportunities Programs (ELOP) Intermediate Enrichment Programs. This initiative aims to establish before and/or after-school education and enrichment programs that provide literacy and academic support, as well as safe alternatives for students in transitional kindergarten through eighth grade. The goal is to enhance student support and broaden community involvement in education.
Work Details
The selected enrichment providers will be responsible for implementing two in-person 12-week semesters targeting students in grades 6-8. Each semester will consist of enrichment sessions held twice a week at school sites, with a minimum of 6 schools and a maximum of 18 schools served per semester. Specific services include:
- Conducting weekly enrichment sessions for students, accommodating 10 to 20 students per session.
- Ensuring staff availability and substitute coverage.
- Administering a comprehensive student interest survey to align programs with student needs.
- Providing activities in areas such as Arts and Culture, STEM, 21st Century Skills, College and Career Readiness, and specialized movement.
- Hosting a formal culminating event at each school site per semester.
Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award in June 2026 and will cover the academic year starting September 2026 through May 2027.
Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various school sites within the Santa Ana Unified School District, California.
Bidder Requirements
Bidders must demonstrate experience providing similar services to other districts or partners. They are required to submit one hard copy of their proposal along with a digital copy on a flash drive. Proposals must include specific documents such as the Firm Proposal/Offer Form and Non-Collusion Declaration. Additionally, all staff must complete background checks and training as specified by the district.
