Background
The Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP) is seeking bids for Evidence Impound Tow and Storage Services for the Crescent City Area Office. The CHP's mission is to enhance public safety through effective law enforcement and emergency response. This contract aims to secure reliable towing and storage services for evidence impoundment, ensuring compliance with legal and operational standards.

Work Details
The contractor will provide Evidence Impound Tow and Storage Services as detailed in Exhibit A of the IFB. This includes:

1) Towing of vehicles to designated storage facilities;
2) Secure storage of impounded vehicles;
3) Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations regarding evidence handling;
4) Timely release of vehicles as directed by CHP;
5) Maintenance of accurate records of all impounded vehicles.

The contractor must perform at least 75% of the services described in the Scope of Work, with no more than 25% subcontracted.

Period of Performance
The contract is anticipated to commence on March 1, 2026, and will run through February 28, 2029. Extensions may be granted based on performance and funding availability.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed in the Crescent City area, California.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid Local City or County Business License. They must be a Rotation Tow provider in good standing on the CHP Crescent City Area office Tow Service Agreement (TSA) and have no suspensions from the TSA within the past three years. Additionally, bidders must provide proof of liability insurance that meets specified requirements before contract execution.
