The County of Santa Clara (County) is seeking proposals from qualified Proposers to provide Ergonomic Evaluation Services for various facilities throughout the County. Only one (1) proposal (submittal) will be accepted from each Proposer. The objective of this Request for Proposals ( RFP ) solicitation is to identify vendors who have the capacity, experience and expertise as well as interest to provide the needed Services as set forth in this RFP. It is the County's intent to award a contract with an initial term of three (3) years with an option for the County to renew for additional two (2) one-year extensions, unless terminated earlier or otherwise amended. The County will hold a virtual pre-proposal conference through Microsoft Teams on the date and time specified in Section III. A of this RFP. A teleconference line will also be provided, but attendance is encouraged through the Microsoft Teams Application. Attendance in the pre-proposal conference is highly recommended but not mandatory. Work Details
The Contractor will provide specialized Ergonomics Evaluation Services across various work environments including office, industrial, and medical settings. Services include:
1) Ergonomic Evaluations - in-person and virtual assessments for office and home workstations;
2) Vehicle Ergonomic Evaluation - assessments tailored to industrial settings;
3) Comprehensive Ergonomic Evaluation - for complex cases related to health conditions;
4) Customized Ergonomic Training - tailored training sessions by task or department;
5) Ergonomic Advisory Services - consultation during workplace design phases.
Evaluations must be conducted by certified professionals such as Board-Certified Professional Ergonomists. The Contractor must provide actionable recommendations, minor adjustments during evaluations, post-evaluation support, and ensure compliance with relevant safety standards.
Period of Performance
The contract will have an initial term of three years with options for two additional one-year extensions. Services will be performed on an as-needed basis throughout the contract duration.
Place of Performance
Services will be performed at multiple locations throughout Santa Clara County, including office buildings, parks, hospitals, clinics, correctional facilities, and law enforcement locations.
