Background
The City of San José is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide a secure, enterprise-wide generative AI chatbot solution built on pretrained transformer technology. The initiative aims to improve operational efficiency, automate tasks, and enhance service delivery across city departments.

The current fragmented solutions do not support secure and scalable capabilities, leading to significant time spent by employees on repetitive tasks. The expected outcome is a centralized portal for authorized users to access conversational AI and natural language processing capabilities, securely connect with enterprise data, and support the creation of customized AI assistants.

Work Details
The vendor will provide an enterprise-wide generative AI chatbot solution that includes:
1. A centralized portal for conversational AI access.
2. Secure connections with enterprise data and productivity tools.
3. Support for user-created customized AI assistants/chatbots.
4. Low-code and no-code workflows for users with varying technical expertise.
5. Enterprise-level oversight and management of accessible data.

Period of Performance
The initial term of the agreement is anticipated to be two years with five one-year options to extend, totaling seven years.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed in San José, California.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must comply with the City’s Wage Theft Prevention Policy and have an active registration with the California Secretary of State. Additionally, vendors must have a valid San José Business Tax Certificate Number and demonstrate a legitimate business presence in Santa Clara County.
