Employee Wellness Portal

Background
The County of San Mateo is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide a comprehensive, enterprise-level wellness platform and associated services that support the County’s commitment to Whole Person Wellbeing.

The selected vendor will deliver an integrated, scalable solution that combines a configurable technology platform, advanced data analytics, and program administration services to engage a diverse employee population across departments, worksites, and health plans. The County has had a Worksite Wellness Policy since 2011 that establishes a Wellness Committee and Employee Wellness Program including free preventive health services for employees.

Work Details
The selected vendor will provide an enterprise-level wellness platform that supports multi-level customization, including department- and population-specific portals.

The platform must integrate with third-party systems and support the County’s proprietary health risk assessment. It should offer robust reporting capabilities for compliance and evaluation purposes. Additionally, the vendor must coordinate onsite wellness services such as health coaching, fitness classes, biometric screenings, and other wellbeing support. The proposal should demonstrate experience in delivering enterprise wellness platforms for large organizations.

Period of Performance
The contract will have a term of 3 years with an option to extend for an additional period not to exceed two years.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed within San Mateo County, California.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must be registered with SAM (System for Award Management) and demonstrate at least five years of experience providing wellness platform services to large employers (5,000+ employees). They must also provide a comprehensive stand-alone wellness platform that supports engagement, program administration, and reporting.
