Background
The Employment Development Department (EDD) of the State of California is seeking proposals from qualified bidders to provide Salesforce Maintenance & Operations Support. The EDD administers various benefit programs, including Unemployment Insurance and Disability Insurance, and aims to enhance California's economic growth by delivering innovative services.
The Information Technology Branch supports this mission by maintaining IT services for employers, employees, and job seekers.
Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for:
A. Providing Salesforce licenses as outlined in the EXHIBIT C: COST WORKBOOK.
B. Implementing updates and ongoing maintenance, including proactive system monitoring, performance tuning, user assistance, incident response within defined SLAs, regular health checks, and documentation updates for existing applications within each Salesforce Org.
C. Implementing system updates with bug fixes and performance optimizations for continuous improvement.
D. Leading all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering to deployment and post-deployment support.
E. Maintaining integration processes between Salesforce Orgs and external systems to ensure seamless data flow.
F. Implementing adaptive maintenance and applying security fixes to comply with security standards outlined in SECTION 19: SECURITY.
G. Ensuring deliverables meet agreed-upon standards and best practices for effectiveness and efficiency of Salesforce Orgs.
H. Conducting knowledge transfer activities for EDD staff to ensure operational success.
Period of Performance
The base term of the contract is two (2) years effective upon approval by CDT, with an option for two (2) one-year extensions for a maximum term of four (4) years.
Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the Employment Development Department located at 1416 9th St., Sacramento, CA 95814.
Bidder Requirements
Bidders must complete ATTACHMENT 13: BIDDER QUALIFICATIONS FORM to confirm their experience meets minimum requirements; provide references using ATTACHMENT 14: BIDDER REFERENCE FORM; submit Key Staff Qualification forms for required roles including Engagement Manager, Project Managers, and Technical Leads; and comply with all mandatory requirements specified in the solicitation.
