Background
San Bernardino County Department of Behavioral Health (DBH), also known as the Eating Disorder Collaborative (EDC), is seeking applications from individuals, organizations, and agencies to provide nutrition therapy, preventive nutrition counseling, and serve as an expert resource for mental health care staff for individuals diagnosed with Eating Disorders (EDO). The EDC is an Innovation project utilizing Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) funding to serve approximately 360 individuals diagnosed with eating disorders in San Bernardino County. The project aims to address the issues of eating disorders comprehensively and has been approved by the Mental Health Services Oversight and Accountability Commission and the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors.
Work Details
The Dietitians/Nutritionists will be responsible for providing nutritional screening and assessment of clients for appropriate nutrition intervention and medical nutrition therapy to individuals and groups both in person and/or via telemedicine. The contract period will be from August 6, 2024, through December 31, 2025, with three optional one-year extensions. The projected allocation for this service is approximately $170,725 for the sixteen-month period. An application conference will be held on March 27, 2024. Questions must be submitted in writing by April 3, 2024. All applications must be received no later than 4:00 p.m. local time on April 25, 2024.
