Eagle Mountain Pumping Plant Interim Employee Housing Rehabilitation

Background
The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California is issuing a contract for the Eagle Mountain Pumping Plant Interim Employee Housing Rehabilitation. The goal of this contract is to perform various residential improvements to enhance the living conditions for employees at the pumping plant, located in Riverside County, California.

Work Details
The work consists of various residential improvements including:
- Plumbing
- Carpentry
- Flooring
- Doors
- Windows
- Updating lighting and electrical components
- Exterior stucco patch
- Drywall installation
- Painting (interior and exterior)
- Fence repair
- Roof repair
- HVAC installation and repairs
- Abatement of materials containing asbestos and lead
- Other appurtenant work as directed by Metropolitan’s representative based on time and materials.

The initial contract amount is not to exceed $250,000.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed from the date of award until June 24, 2026.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Eagle Mountain Pumping Plant located in Riverside County, California.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid California contractor license (classification A and/or B or B-2) at the time of submitting the bid. They must have experience in residential construction and remodeling. The contractor must be an EPA-certified renovation firm as per Title 40 of the Code of Federal Regulations. Additionally, any entity performing asbestos abatement must have either a California Contractors State License Board issued ASB certification or a C-22 license.

Bidders are encouraged to utilize Small Business Enterprise (SBE) and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) firms with a participation level of 25%. They must also be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations to perform public work.
