Durable Medical Equipment (DME) for Home Health Patients

Background
San Bernardino County, on behalf of Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC), is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide Durable Medical Equipment (DME) for home care patients. ARMC is a licensed, general acute care hospital that serves a large population and offers a range of healthcare services. The goal of this contract is to ensure that home care patients receive the necessary medical equipment in a timely manner.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for selling or renting and delivering Durable Medical Equipment (DME) as ordered by the County for home care patients. Key deliverables include:

1. Delivery of DME inside the specified location as directed by ARMC.
2. Timely delivery either from the contractor's stock or through other sources if unavailable.
3. No additional fees beyond those listed in Attachment E for DME costs.
4. Option for consignment of frequently used DME at no extra cost.
5. Separate invoicing for each delivery and consigned DME issued to patients.
6. Determining eligibility for Medi-Cal payment prior to invoicing, ensuring compliance with all Medi-Cal regulations.
7. Guaranteeing that all provided DME meets express and implied warranties.

Period of Performance
The contract period is estimated to last a maximum of five years, beginning on or about July 1, 2025.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations as directed by the County within San Bernardino County.
