DSMS Roof Restoration

Background
The Palm Springs Unified School District (PSUSD) is inviting sealed bids for the DSMS Roof Restoration project under CUPCCA Bid No. 25-26-04. The goal of this contract is to restore the roofing system at Desert Springs Middle School, ensuring it meets the necessary standards for durability and functionality.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:

1. Single Ply Surface Roof Restoration, including all labor, equipment, and materials to install a modified bitumen roof system over a properly prepared substrate.

2. Products provided by the District include those manufactured by The Garland Company, specifically:
- Liquitec Base Coat: 157 units (4.5 gallons each)
- Liquitec: 127 units (4.5 gallons each)
- Liquitec FG White: 4 units (3 gallons each)
- Grip Polyester Soft: 5 rolls
- Tuff Stuff Natural White: 24 tubes
- Cool Sil: 2 units (5 gallons each)
- Unibond ST 4": 2 rolls

3. Specific tasks include water testing drainage systems, power washing existing roofs, caulking fasteners, wire brushing rusted panels, applying coatings, and ensuring proper installation techniques are followed according to manufacturer's specifications.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence on the date established in the Contract Documents and must be completed within the specified timeframe outlined in those documents.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Desert Springs Middle School located in Palm Springs, California.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid California Contractor’s License and comply with all requirements set forth in the Contract Documents. Additionally, bidders must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) and adhere to prevailing wage laws as outlined in California Labor Code sections 1770 et seq.
