ANNOUNCEMENT CITY & COUNTY OF SAN FRANCISCO SAN FRANCISCO PUBLIC WORKS REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS As-Needed Landscape Architectural Services No. 3 This Request for Qualifications (hereinafter RFQ or Solicitation ) is being issued by San Francisco Public Works (hereinafter, Public Works ), a department of the City and County of San Francisco ( City ), to solicit proposals from qualified Consultants ( Proposers ) for professional Landscape Architectural, and other related consulting services, on an as-needed basis. The result of this RFQ, through the evaluation and selection process, will be a master agreement with each selected consultant firm or team. Each master agreement will have a five (5) year term with Contract Service Orders (CSO), or tasks issued during the first four years only. Projects will range from large projects requiring multiple disciplines, to small projects of limited scope involving only one specialized consulting service provided by a subconsultant. Prime consultants may be selected on the basis of specific, specialized services or expertise. Some disciplines may be utilized more heavily than others and some disciplines may not be utilized at all during the course of the contract, at the discretion of the City. The City intends to award up to five (5) master agreements with a not to exceed value of up to $800,000 for each master agreement. Public Works reserves the right to change the contract amount and have the sole discretion to extend the Contract duration to be awarded consistent with City contracting requirements. Since this is an As-Needed contract, award of a master agreement does not guarantee that the selected firms will perform all or any portion of the services described in this RFQ, nor does it guarantee that the maximum amount will be expended. The maximum contract dollar amount does not represent a guaranteed revenue source for any of the selected firms. Submittals will be accepted until 2:00 P.M. Pacific Time, December 18, 2024. Background
The City & County of San Francisco, through its Public Works department, is issuing this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to solicit proposals from qualified consultants for professional Landscape Architectural and related consulting services on an as-needed basis.
The goal of this contract is to establish master agreements with selected firms to provide a range of landscape architectural services over a five-year term. The City aims to award up to five master agreements, each with a maximum value of $800,000.
Work Details
Consultants will provide various services including:
1. Landscape Architecture Design: Consultation and design services for landscaping, playground construction, site improvements, planting, and related work such as landscape design, synthetic turf field and drainage design, preparation of construction documents, cost estimating, field investigations, coordination with utility companies and City staff, and construction support.
2. CAD Drafting Support: Providing staff for CAD drafting support for various landscape architecture projects.
3. Landscape Rendering and Illustrations: Creating renderings and illustrations for landscape projects for presentations and community meetings.
4. Irrigation Design: Consultation and design services for irrigation work including preparation of construction documents and coordination.
5. Other Services: Quality assurance/quality control review and peer review may also be required. Projects may relate to parks, streetscapes, library buildings, fire stations, police stations, health service centers, hospital buildings, recreation centers, and other City-owned facilities.
Period of Performance
The contract will have a duration of five years (1,825 calendar days), with tasks issued during the first four years only.
Place of Performance
Services will be performed within the City & County of San Francisco.
