Donald C. Tillman Water Reclamation Plant (DCTWRP) Primary Treatment Upgrades (CIP 6122)

Background
The Donald C. Tillman Water Reclamation Plant (DCTWRP) is operated by the City of Los Angeles, California, under the Department of Public Works. The mission of this project is to upgrade the mechanical, electrical, and controls equipment associated with the primary treatment process at DCTWRP. The goal is to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of wastewater treatment processes.

Work Details
The project involves the following key tasks:

1. Upgrade mechanical, electrical, and controls equipment related to the primary treatment process including Influent Channel No. 1, Primary Tanks, and Equalization Tanks.

2. Remove built-up grit from Channel No. 1 and clean the influent channel and tanks.

3. Demolition of existing equipment such as aluminum primary tank covers, sludge collecting equipment, helical skimmer equipment, inlet diffusers, knife gate valves, motorized butterfly valves, effluent launders, aeration systems for Influent Channel No. 1, control panel supports and electrical components, light poles, concrete with associated expansion joint materials, pipe components including valves and gauges.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid State of California Contractor's License Classification of 'A'. Additionally, this project is subject to provisions under the Local Business Preference Program which provides bid reductions for certified Local Business Enterprises (LBE) and City Business Enterprises (CBE).
