Demolition Services

Background
The City of Los Angeles, through its Department of General Services (GSD), is seeking experienced contractors for Demolition Services. GSD is authorized to provide new construction services and let contracts for specialty work that cannot be performed by its forces.

This contract will support GSD’s Construction Forces Division (CFD) in providing demolition services on an as-needed basis, particularly when CFD lacks the necessary staff or skills. The contract is intended for exclusive use by CFD, with other city departments requiring prior approval to utilize these services.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, monitoring, supervision, and incidentals necessary for demolition and removal of various structures and site elements. This includes but is not limited to:

- Machine and hand demolition
- Concrete breaking
- Asphalt removal
- Tree removal
- Land clearing
- Debris processing for recycling or disposal
- Loading and trucking debris to disposal sites
- Acquiring necessary permits
- Hazardous waste removal
- Providing fencing and barricades
- Traffic control
- Excavation
- Grading
- Backfill

All work must comply with AQMD and CAL OSHA safety requirements as well as federal, state, and local codes.

Period of Performance
The estimated usage total for this contract is $20,000,000 over a period of 3 years.

Place of Performance
Demolition services will be performed within the City of Los Angeles.
