Background
The California Exposition and State Fair (Cal Expo) is responsible for organizing the California State Fair, a large-scale 17-day event featuring various entertainment options and attractions. The purpose of this contract is to secure theatrical lighting services for the Main Concert Stage during the fair, ensuring high-quality lighting for performances by local, regional, and national artists.

Work Details
The contractor shall install, maintain, and operate theatrical lighting on a rental basis for the Main Concert Stage at the California State Fair. The bid must include rental fees, labor, maintenance (including repair, refocusing, or replacement of lamps), and a complete list of equipment with installation methods.

Key specifications include:
1. All necessary equipment including dimming and control systems, cables, rigging, power distribution, instruments, and perishables.
2. Equipment must not obstruct patron access or safety routes.
3. Control boards must be secured in lockable cases near the sound mixing console.
4. A technician must be present on-site during installation and maintenance.
5. A minimum of two technicians are required for setup and operation during concerts.
6. The system must include specific lighting fixtures such as Martin Mac Aura XB LED Moving Head Wash Fixtures and Chauvet Rogue R3X Wash LED RGBW Moving Heads among others.
7. Additional requirements include power distribution systems, spotlights, intercom systems, work lights, and stair safety lights.

Period of Performance
The term of this agreement is from July 1, 2025, through August 1, 2027. Load-in for equipment must begin no later than two days prior to the opening day of the fair, with all equipment ready by 9:00 AM on the first day. Load-out will commence after the fair closes on its last day and must be completed by 5:00 PM the following day.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the California State Fairgrounds located at 1600 Exposition Boulevard, Sacramento, CA 95815.
