Court Street Square Holiday Rink Rental Services

Background
The City of San Bernardino is seeking qualified vendors to provide a turnkey seasonal holiday rink rental service for the Court Street Square. This initiative is part of the city's annual holiday programming aimed at promoting community engagement and providing recreational opportunities for residents and visitors. The project includes the installation, maintenance, and removal of all necessary equipment for a functioning skating rink.

Work Details
The vendor will be responsible for delivering, installing, maintaining, and removing the skating rink and associated equipment. Key components include:
- A temporary ice rink (either synthetic or real) that fits within designated dimensions at Court Street Square.
- A minimum of 50 pairs of ice skates in assorted sizes for public use.
- Perimeter fencing or barriers to safely enclose the rink area.
- Mats or flooring for safe footwear changes.
- Equipment necessary for operation, such as glide solutions or resurfacing equipment.

Setup must be completed by December 10, 2025, with teardown starting on December 22, 2025, and completed within 1–3 days thereafter. The vendor must also conduct a site assessment prior to installation to identify any preparation requirements.

Period of Performance
The contract period begins with setup no later than December 10, 2025, and includes operational services until teardown is completed within a few days after December 22, 2025.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must comply with California Labor Code provisions regarding prevailing wages if applicable. They must also be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) to perform public work and maintain active registration throughout the project duration. Additionally, they must provide proof of insurance covering various liabilities including general liability and workers' compensation before commencing work.
