Court Street Square Holiday Rink Rental Services

Background
The City of San Bernardino is seeking qualified vendors to provide a turnkey seasonal holiday rink rental service for its annual holiday programming at Court Street Square. This initiative aims to enhance community engagement and promote local festivities during the winter season, attracting residents and visitors alike.

Work Details
The selected vendor will be responsible for the complete setup, operation, maintenance, and teardown of a temporary outdoor skating rink. The services include:
- Delivery and installation of a skating rink, platform, chiller system, fencing, and lighting.
- Setup must be completed before December 1st and teardown will occur on or after December 22nd.
- The rink will accommodate approximately 60 skaters (minimum size: 61ft x 92ft).
- Provision of approximately 70 pairs of assorted pre-skates and a padded changing area.
- Application and maintenance of glide solution on the rink.
- Brief training for customer staff at the time of setup; however, no staff will be provided during the rental period.
- Requirements include a flat surface larger than the rink size with easy drive-up access, and one hose spigot within 50ft for cleaning.

Period of Performance
The contract period begins with setup in November/December 2025 and concludes with teardown occurring within 1-3 days after December 22nd, subject to availability.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must comply with California Labor Code requirements regarding prevailing wages if applicable. All contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) to perform public work. Vendors are encouraged to attend a pre-bid meeting to assess site-specific requirements.
