Merced County is seeking proposals for Countywide Security Guard Services to enhance safety and security across various county facilities. The goal of this contract is to provide unarmed security personnel at designated locations to ensure the safety of staff, visitors, and property while maintaining a secure environment. Work Details
The contractor shall provide unarmed security guard services at specified locations including Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS), Public Health, Workforce Investment, Human Services Agency (HSA), and the Library. The minimum number of guards required includes:
- One (1) Unarmed Guard for Sites A-C of BHRS (Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM)
- One (1) Unarmed Guard for Site D (Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM)
- One (1) Unarmed Guard for Site E (On-Call as needed)
- One (1) Unarmed Guard for Site F (On-Call as needed)
- One (1) Unarmed Guard for Public Health locations with specified schedules including after-hours surveillance.
- One (1) Unarmed Guard for Workforce Investment from 7:45 AM - 5:15 PM.
- One (1) Unarmed Guard for HSA with specific patrol and reporting duties during weekdays and weekends.
- One (1) Unarmed Guard for the Library with defined hours and responsibilities including enforcing rules of conduct. Guards must perform regular patrols, respond to emergencies, assist visitors, maintain logs of activities, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
