Construction Of Ev Charging Stations

Background
The City of Azusa is issuing a solicitation for the construction of EV charging stations as part of its initiative to enhance electric vehicle infrastructure. The project aims to extend underground circuits and establish both underground and aboveground electric substructures for EV charger installations, aligning with the city's commitment to sustainable energy solutions.

Work Details
The work includes extending the underground circuit according to construction drawings ED2026-2 EV INFRASTRUCTURE, and completing an underground and aboveground electric substructure system for EV charger installation. Specific tasks include:

- Trenching
- Backfilling
- Street restoration
- Striping
- Traffic control

Bidders must provide all necessary supplies, equipment, materials, and transportation as outlined in the bidding schedule. The project will also involve the installation of 7 dual-port EV chargers provided by Azusa Light & Water (ALW), along with various conduit installations (4” and 1.5”), a precast transformer pad, switchgear, sub-panel, and cable installation as per specifications.

Period of Performance
All work must be completed and inspected within 12 calendar weeks from the date set forth in the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed in Azusa, California.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must hold a valid California contractor's license (Class A and either Class C-10 or C-34) and be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). They are required to submit valid Certificates of Reported Compliance (CRC) for their fleet and any listed subcontractors. Additionally, compliance with California Air Resources Board regulations is mandatory. The successful bidder must provide a Faithful Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Bond each amounting to 100% of the contract price.
