Construction Management and Inspection Services for the Sewer Lift Station #5 Replacement Project

Background
The City of Alhambra is seeking proposals from qualified engineering or consulting firms to provide construction management and inspection services for the Sewer Lift Station #5 Replacement Project. This project aims to replace an aging lift station originally constructed in 1926, enhancing the city's infrastructure and ensuring efficient wastewater management.

Work Details
The project involves the complete replacement of Sewer Lift Station #5, including:

- Installing a new precast polymer wet well, valve vault, and bypass vault;
- All necessary mechanical and electrical equipment;
- Upgrades to service, control, and instrumentation systems;
- Installation of approximately 103 feet of 8-inch VCP gravity sewer pipe with three new precast polymer manholes;
- Repurposing the existing dry well for emergency storage;
- Abandonment of the existing wet well.

The contractor will be responsible for all labor, materials, equipment, and coordination required to complete the project as defined in the contract documents.

Period of Performance
The project is scheduled to begin on March 23, 2026, pending permits, with a contract award anticipated on April 9, 2026.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Sewer Lift Station #5 located at 913 Clay Court, east of Granada Avenue and north of Mission Road in Alhambra, California.

Bidder Requirements
Proposers must demonstrate proven experience in water resources engineering including lift station design, construction, and inspection. Firms must have completed at least three similar projects within the last five years. Additionally, successful bidders must meet all insurance requirements set by the City of Alhambra and obtain a City Business License upon contract award.
