Construction & Abandon Deep Well CP Groundbeds

Background
The Long Beach Utilities Department (LBU) is seeking proposals from qualified firms for the abandonment of existing shallow well groundbeds and the construction of new deep well groundbeds. This initiative is part of LBU's mission to maintain and enhance the city's infrastructure related to cathodic protection systems.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for abandoning existing shallow well groundbeds and constructing new deep well groundbeds at specified locations, particularly at Gardenia Ave and Del Amo Blvd. The work includes:
- Drilling holes, installing anodes, cables, and vent pipes.
- Providing sufficient cable lengths for LBU's work.
- Procuring all necessary permits related to well drilling operations.
- Submitting a Well Completion Report (CA DWR Form 188) for each constructed and abandoned well.

Long Beach Utilities will handle the connection of anode cables and vent pipes to the rectifier and provide excavation permits necessary for the work.

Period of Performance
The contract will last for one year with options to renew for two additional one-year periods, totaling a maximum duration of three years.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed within the City of Long Beach, specifically at the intersection of Gardenia Ave and Del Amo Blvd.
