Condiments, Individual Serving Packets (FAU25-89-13)

Background
The State of California, Department of General Services, Procurement Division (DGS-PD) is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) to establish a Statewide Mandatory contract for Condiments, Individual Serving Packets. This contract aims to provide essential condiments to various state departments including the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), Department of State Hospitals (DSH), California Highway Patrol (CHP), and Veteran Homes. The goal is to ensure that these departments have access to necessary food items for their operations.

Work Details
The contract will include the provision of various condiments in individual serving packets, specifically:
- Dressings: French, Italian, Thousand Island, Ranch (12 grams each)
- Miscellaneous Products: Catsup (9 grams), Mustard (5.5 grams), Mayonnaise (12 grams), Low Fat Dressing (12 grams), Pickle Relish (9 grams), Taco Sauce (12 grams).

All products must comply with applicable federal and state regulations regarding preparation, packaging, labeling, storage, distribution, and sales. They must be Kosher certified and have a minimum shelf life of 120 days post-delivery. The products should be packed in commercially acceptable containers suitable for use by State institutions.

Period of Performance
The initial term of the contract will be for two years with two optional one-year extensions available upon mutual agreement.

Place of Performance
The delivery locations will be statewide across California as specified in individual purchase orders from various state departments.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with specific certifications and requirements including:
- A valid Seller’s Permit number.
- Compliance with the Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) Program Requirements.
- Certification as a small business if claiming small business preference.
- Submission of customer references demonstrating capability to handle the anticipated spend.
- Compliance with food safety certification requirements as per USDA or CDFA regulations.
