Description
The work requested under this contract involves comprehensive improvements to three city parks: Jardin de los Ni os Park, Haster Basin Park, and West Haven Park. The scope of work includes demolition, receipt and storage of city-purchased equipment, and installation of new playground and park facilities at each location. Specifically, at Jardin de los Ni os Park (12534 Keel Avenue, Buena Clinton neighborhood), the contractor will demolish existing playground equipment, concrete footings, site furnishings, rubberized surface, and grass. The City has already purchased Burke playground equipment, which the contractor must receive and store. The contractor will then install the new playground equipment, rubberized surface, concrete paving, and steel metal fencing with a gate. At Haster Basin Park (12952 Lampson Avenue), the contractor will demolish the current playground equipment, concrete footings, playground surface, sand, walkways, concrete wall, restroom building and foundations, site utilities, and grass. The City has purchased both Burke playground equipment and a Romtec Pre-Engineered Building Package, which the contractor must receive and store. The contractor will install the new pre-engineered restroom building, site utilities, playground equipment, site furnishings, rubberized surface, concrete walkways, steel metal fencing with a gate, irrigation system, and real rock boulders. At West Haven Park (12252 West Street), the contractor will demolish the current restroom building and foundations, concrete paving, site utilities, irrigation system, soil, grass, and drinking fountain. The City has purchased a Romtec Pre-Engineered Building Package for this site, which the contractor must receive and store. The contractor will install the new pre-engineered restroom building, site utilities, concrete walkways, restore the electrical building, irrigation system, sod grass, and drinking fountain. The City of Garden Grove is requesting these services. The background for this contract is the City's initiative to improve community parks through targeted upgrades and new facility installations. Contract requirements include the demolition of existing structures and surfaces, proper receipt and storage of City-purchased equipment, and the installation of new park amenities as detailed for each location. The plans and specifications for this project have been approved by the City. Bidders selected for the project will need to request all required documentation and adhere to the approved plans and specifications during the execution of the work.
