Community Health Consultant - Healthy Camarillo

Background
The City of Camarillo is seeking proposals from qualified consulting firms to develop the Healthy Camarillo Initiative, a community health program aimed at addressing pressing health priorities identified in the 2022 Ventura County Community Health Needs Assessment.
This initiative is a collaborative effort involving the City of Camarillo, Camarillo Health Care District (CHCD), and Pleasant Valley Recreation & Park District (PVRPD).
The program aims to promote healthier lifestyles, improve healthcare access, and enhance existing wellness programs within the community.

Work Details
The consultant will be responsible for:
1. Implementation Strategy Development: Create a detailed roadmap aligning with the existing MOU between partner agencies, defining roles and responsibilities.
2. Sustainable Programming: Design evidence-based health programs that can be maintained long-term through resource allocation and community partnerships.
3. Governance Structure: Establish operational frameworks for effective collaboration among partner agencies.
4. Marketing and Community Engagement: Develop outreach plans to enhance public awareness and participation in initiatives using various communication strategies.
5. Impact Measurement: Design evaluation metrics to capture program outcomes effectively.
6. Initial Development Phase: Review existing health data, conduct stakeholder engagement, and design a community input process.
7. Program Launch Planning: Develop strategic plans for launching programs including community health fairs and workshops.
8. Long-term Development Strategy: Implement annual reviews of community health indicators and establish flexible adaptation protocols for emerging public health trends.

Period of Performance
The project duration is set for one year, starting from November 1, 2025.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed within the City of Camarillo, California.

Bidder Requirements
Proposers must demonstrate at least five years of experience in community health program development, proven success in multi-agency collaboration, and experience working with local governments or comparable public agencies.
