Description

The project is located on SR 37 near the City of Vallejo, extending from 1.0 mile west of SR 121 to the Napa River Bridge, and on SR 121 from SR 37 to 0.2 miles north of SR 37. It proposes to widen the highway by adding two lanes with 8-foot shoulders from SR 121 to the Walnut Ave Overcrossing at Mare Island. The project also includes replacing the Tolay Creek Bridge, widening the Sonoma Creek Bridge, and making improvements at Department of Transportation SR 37 Sears Point to Mare Island Improvement Project Request for Qualifications Contract No.: 04-1Q76CM Project ID: 0419000255, 0422000181, 0423000256 Procurement Schedule 10 three intersections. Additionally, the project will introduce an eastbound HOV lane at the SR 121/SR 37 intersection and a westbound HOV lane starting at the Mare Island Interchange. Background
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is issuing a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for the State Route 37 Sears Point to Mare Island Improvement Project.
