Description

Work Requested:
The project involves retrofitting 8 to 12 concrete columns located in the underground parking lot of the Civic Center. The scope of work includes:
  • Wrapping each specified column with Simpson CSS V-Wrap FRP-2, applying full turns around the column as referenced in ICC ESR-930.

Requesting Entity:
This solicitation is issued by the City of Redlands.

Background:
The purpose of this contract is to enhance the structural integrity of the Civic Center Parking Garage by reinforcing selected concrete columns using fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) wraps.

Contract Requirements:
  • All bidders must submit prices for each line item individually. The City will consider each line item for award separately, and may award one, any, or all items to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for each item.
  • All charges, including delivery, freight, and any associated costs, must be included on the Price Sheet.
  • Bidders must complete all category fields to be considered responsive for that category.
  • Estimated quantities provided are approximate and intended for bid comparison only. Actual quantities may vary, and bidders cannot claim misunderstanding based on these estimates.
  • When applicable, prevailing wage laws of the State of California (California Labor Code Section 1770 et seq.) apply to this contract.

THE CITY MAY ELECT TO AWARD ONLY ONE, ANY, OR ALL ITEMS.
PREVAILING WAGES When applicable, the City is subject to the State of California prevailing wage laws as set forth in California Labor Code Section 1770 et seq. The contractor is responsible for determining the appropriate Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) classification for the various employees and subcontractors used for a particular project or service. The rates for each classification are posted on the DIR website at http://www.dir.ca.gov/DIRdatabases.html
