Citywide Security Camera Hardware Maintenance

Background
The City of San Buenaventura is issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) for Citywide Security Camera Hardware Maintenance. The Information Technology Department aims to provide reliable and responsive technology services to all city departments. The goal of this contract is to maintain and support the existing security camera system, which includes 200 cameras, with an expectation to exceed 225 cameras shortly. The selected vendor will assist in both maintenance and new installations.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for:
- Regular scheduled biannual preventive maintenance on the security camera system to ensure functionality, reliability, and picture quality.
- Verifying that camera devices are securely mounted and performing periodic cleanings of camera domes and lenses.
- Addressing any wear/tear or device damage and replacing equipment under warranty.
- Checking all wiring, cabling, and associated connectors for necessary repairs or replacements.
- Ensuring cables are correctly supported, undamaged, properly routed, secured, and labeled.
- Providing troubleshooting and resolution of system issues during regular business hours.
- Installing new or additional hardware as needed; the City will purchase all new equipment prior to installation.
- Performing low-voltage cabling installations for non-camera use and installing low-voltage devices such as intercoms.

Period of Performance
The initial term of the agreement shall commence on July 1, 2025, continuing for one year with the option to renew for four additional one-year increments, not exceeding a total of five years.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed within the geographic boundaries of the City of San Buenaventura, California.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a State of California Contractor’s License Classification C-10 High Voltage Electrical Safety. They must also provide proof of insurance as required by the General Services Agreement. Additionally, bidders should have experience with specific cameras and systems deployed by the City.
