CI-262 F-17 & F-18 Building Abatement & Interior Demolition

Background
The California State University (CSU) is issuing a contract for the abatement and interior demolition of the F-17 and F-18 Buildings located on the CSU Channel Islands campus. This project aims to ensure the safe removal of hazardous materials and prepare the buildings for future use, aligning with CSU's commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant environment for its facilities.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for:

1. Conducting environmental assessments to identify hazardous materials present in the F-17 and F-18 Buildings.

2. Performing abatement activities, including but not limited to the removal of asbestos, lead, and other hazardous substances in accordance with state and federal regulations.

3. Executing interior demolition tasks that may include removing walls, ceilings, flooring, fixtures, and other non-structural elements as specified in the project plans.

4. Ensuring proper disposal of all hazardous materials in compliance with environmental regulations.

5. Conducting site cleanup post-demolition to ensure safety and compliance with local codes.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence upon award and is anticipated to be completed within a timeframe of six months from the start date.
