CHP West Valley Area office - Evidence Impound Tow and Storage Services

Background
The Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP) is soliciting bids for Evidence Impound Tow and Storage Services as part of its mission to ensure safety and security on California's highways. This contract aims to support the CHP's operations in managing evidence impoundment effectively.

Work Details
The contractor will provide Evidence Impound Tow and Storage Services as outlined in Exhibit A, which includes:
- Towing of vehicles to the designated evidence impound lot.
- Secure storage of vehicles until they are released by the CHP.
- Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations regarding vehicle impoundment and storage.
- Maintenance of accurate records for all vehicles towed and stored, including details such as vehicle identification numbers, dates of tow, and storage duration.

Period of Performance
The contract is anticipated to commence on September 1, 2025, and will run through August 31, 2027. The term may be extended based on satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the CHP West Valley Area office and associated impound lots within the jurisdiction specified by the CHP.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must meet specific qualifications including:
- Possession of a valid Local City or County Business License.
- Ability to perform at least 75% of the services without subcontracting more than 25%.
- Must be a Rotation Tow provider in good standing with the CHP West Valley Area office Tow Service Agreement (TSA).
- No suspensions from the TSA within the past three years.
- Proof of liability insurance must be provided before contract execution.
