CHP Visalia - Weapons Firing Range Services

Background
The Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP) is seeking bids for Weapons Firing Range Services at the CHP Visalia Area Office. This solicitation aims to engage a firm that can provide the necessary services to support CHP's mission of ensuring safety and security on California's highways. The contract will be awarded based on the lowest responsive bid from qualified bidders.

Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive Weapons Firing Range Services as outlined in Exhibit A, which includes but is not limited to: maintenance and operation of the firing range, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, providing necessary equipment and supplies, and facilitating training sessions for CHP personnel.

The contractor must also ensure that all services meet the standards set forth by CHP and relevant state laws.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence on June 1, 2025, and will run through May 31, 2028. There may be options for extension based on performance and funding availability.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the CHP Visalia Area Office located in Visalia, California.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid local City/County business license and be in good standing with the California Secretary of State. They must also provide proof of liability insurance as per Exhibit E requirements.

Additionally, all personnel assigned to the contract are subject to a driver license and fingerprint check before accessing CHP facilities. Bidders are encouraged to participate in DVBE programs; however, participation requirements have been waived for this solicitation.
