CHP San Luis Obispo Area office - Evidence Impound Tow and Storage Services

Background
The Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP) is soliciting bids for Evidence Impound Tow and Storage Services for the San Luis Obispo Area office. This initiative aims to ensure the effective management and storage of evidence related to law enforcement activities, thereby supporting the agency's mission to enhance public safety and service.

Work Details
The contractor will provide Evidence Impound Tow and Storage Services as detailed in Exhibit A, which includes:
- Towing of impounded vehicles
- Secure storage of evidence
- Maintaining accurate records of all vehicles towed and stored
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

The contractor must perform at least 75% of the services directly and may not subcontract more than 25%. Additionally, the contractor must be a Rotation Tow provider in good standing on the CHP San Luis Obispo Area office Tow Service Agreement.

Period of Performance
The contract is anticipated to commence on August 1, 2025, and will run through July 31, 2028. The term may be extended based on satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the CHP San Luis Obispo Area office located at 601 N. 7th Street, Sacramento, CA.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid Local City or County Business License. They must certify their willingness to comply with all terms outlined in the IFB. Additionally, bidders should not have had any suspensions from the CHP TSA within the past three years. Corporations must be in good standing to conduct business in California. Bidders are also required to provide proof of liability insurance that meets specified requirements before contract execution.
