The Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP) invites prospective bidders to review and respond to the attached Invitation for Bids (IFB) Number #24C645005 entitled, CHP San Diego Area office Roof Repair Services. When preparing and submitting a bid, compliance with the instructions found herein is imperative. II. Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) Participation Requirements California Law Requires Disabled Veterans Business Enterprise (DVBE) participation. All bidders for this solicitation, must meet the minimum DVBE participation requirement of 5%. Bidders are eligible to receive a DVBE incentive for their participation. For more information regarding this option, see section M of the IFB entitled Preference and Incentive Programs.
Background
The Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP) is seeking bids for Roof Repair Services at their San Diego Area office. The CHP's mission is to provide safety and security for the public through effective law enforcement and community engagement.

This contract aims to ensure the maintenance and repair of the roofing system at the specified location, thereby supporting the agency's operational integrity.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing comprehensive roof repair services as detailed in Exhibit A, 'Scope of Work.' This includes but is not limited to: assessing roof conditions, performing necessary repairs, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and building codes, and providing documentation of work completed.

The contractor must possess a valid California State License Board C-39 (Roofing Contractor) and be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). Additionally, proof of liability insurance must be provided before contract execution.

Period of Performance
The anticipated period of performance for this agreement is from January 1, 2025, through December 31, 2025. Extensions may be granted based on satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the CHP San Diego Area office located at 5902 Kearny Villa Road, San Diego, CA 92123.
