CHP East Sacramento Area office Evidence Impound Tow and Storage Services

Background
The Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP) is seeking bids for Evidence Impound Tow and Storage Services as part of its mission to ensure safety, service, and security. This contract aims to support the CHP's operations in managing evidence impoundment and storage effectively. The solicitation is open to all eligible firms that meet the qualification requirements outlined in the Invitation for Bids (IFB) Number 25C260002.

Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive Evidence Impound Tow and Storage Services as detailed in Exhibit A, 'Scope of Work.' This includes towing vehicles to designated impound lots, maintaining proper storage conditions for evidence, and ensuring compliance with legal and procedural standards related to evidence handling. The contractor must perform at least 75% of the services directly and cannot subcontract more than 25%. Additionally, the contractor must be a Rotation Tow provider in good standing with the CHP East Sacramento Area office Tow Service Agreement.

Period of Performance
The contract is anticipated to commence on September 1, 2025, and will run through August 31, 2028. The term may be extended based on satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the CHP East Sacramento Area office and associated locations as specified in the contract.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid Local City or County Business License, have no suspensions from CHP within the past three years, and demonstrate sound business integrity. They must also provide proof of liability insurance that meets specified requirements before agreement execution. Additionally, bidders must comply with all terms outlined in section N of the IFB regarding agreements.
