The Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP) invites prospective bidders to review and respond to the attached Invitation for Bids (IFB) Number #24C320013 entitled, CHP Contra Costa Area office Gate Replacement Services. When preparing and submitting a bid, compliance with the instructions found herein is imperative. Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) Participation Requirements California Law Requires Disabled Veterans Business Enterprise (DVBE) participation. All bidders for this solicitation, must meet the minimum DVBE participation requirement of 5%. Bidders are eligible to receive a DVBE incentive for their participation. For more information regarding this option, see section M of the IFB entitled Preference and Incentive Programs. Mandatory walk-through date 01/28/2025 at 1:00PM.
Background
The Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP) is seeking bids for Gate Replacement Services at the Contra Costa Area office.

Work Details
The selected contractor will be responsible for providing Gate Replacement Services as detailed in Exhibit A, 'Scope of Work.' This includes the removal of existing gates, installation of new gates, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and any necessary site preparation.

Bidders must possess a valid C-61/D-28 Doors, Gates and Activating Devices Contractor license and be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). The work must adhere to prevailing wage requirements as determined by the DIR.

Period of Performance
The anticipated period of performance for the resulting agreement is from April 1, 2025, through March 31, 2026. The agreement may be extended based on satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the CHP Contra Costa Area office located at 5001 Blum Road, Martinez, CA 94553.
