CHP Cache Creek Platform Scales Fire and Security Alarm Monitoring, Inspection and Testing Services

Background
The Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP) is soliciting bids for Fire and Security Alarm Monitoring, Inspection, and Testing Services under IFB Number 25C830002. The CHP's mission is to ensure the safety and security of California's highways and public spaces. This contract aims to enhance the operational efficiency and safety of CHP facilities through reliable fire and security monitoring services.

Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive Fire and Security Alarm Monitoring, Inspections, and Testing Services as detailed in Exhibit A of the IFB. This includes regular inspections, testing of alarm systems, maintenance services, and compliance with all relevant safety regulations. The contractor must ensure that all services meet Underwriter’s Laboratory (UL) standards and comply with Bureau of Security & Investigation Services (BSIS) licensing requirements.

The scope also includes emergency response protocols in case of alarm activation.

Period of Performance
The contract is anticipated to commence on January 1, 2026, and will run through December 31, 2028. Extensions may be granted based on satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various CHP facilities across California as specified in the contract documents.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid Underwriter’s Laboratory (UL) Certification, a Bureau of Security & Investigation Services (BSIS) License, and a Local City or County Business License. Bidders must also certify their compliance with all terms outlined in the IFB. Additionally, they are required to have a past record of sound business integrity and responsiveness to contractual obligations.
