Contractor agrees to provide to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) all labor, materials, tools, permits, travel, and equipment necessary to clean, repair, remove and legally dispose of existing roof material, furnish, and install two (2) separate new roofing systems for a deteriorating roof deck.
Background
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is seeking a certified small business to provide roof replacement services in Shasta County. The contract is authorized pursuant to Government Code Section 14838.7, which provides for the award of contracts for the acquisition of construction, including the erection, construction, alteration, repair, or improvement of any State structure, building, road, or other State improvement of any kind.

Work Details
The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, travel, materials, and any incidentals necessary to provide a complete roof replacement of a deteriorating roof deck with two separate roofing systems to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), Division 02 Administration, within Shasta County. The bidder must possess a valid and current C-39 (Roofing Contractor) license issued from the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB) and a valid and current registration with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). The contract requires Prevailing Wages if the total bid amount exceeds $15,000.
The proposed form of agreement includes detailed descriptions of the services to be provided.

Period of Performance
The mandatory site inspection is scheduled for February 20, 2024.
The final date for quote submission is February 23, 2024.
The proposed award date is estimated to be March 15, 2024.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at 1657 Riverside Drive, Redding, CA 96001.
