Background
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is issuing this Invitation for Price Quote (IFPQ) #10A2806 for operated equipment rental services. This contract aims to support the agency's mission of maintaining and improving California's transportation infrastructure by providing necessary equipment to haul and dispose of debris from designated highway sites across several counties in California.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, tools, equipment, transport, materials, supplies, fuel, maintenance, and incidentals necessary for the rental of a fully operated medium excavator or super dump trailers. The services include:

1. Rental of a fully operated medium excavator (CAT 325 or equivalent) with a thumb attachment to haul stockpiled debris from predesignated State highway sites to Caltrans.
2. Rental of super dump trailers or end dump trucks to legally dispose of debris including sweeper waste, asphalt grindings, and other nonhazardous wastes.
3. The contractor must ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and insured.
4. The work will be performed in Alpine, Amador, Calaveras, Tuolumne, Mariposa, Merced, San Joaquin, and Stanislaus Counties.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence on November 1, 2025 (estimate) and will expire on October 31, 2028 (estimate). Services will be provided Sunday through Saturday except holidays.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at designated highway sites within Alpine, Amador, Calaveras, Tuolumne, Mariposa, Merced, San Joaquin, and Stanislaus Counties.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid Motor Carrier Permit from the California DMV and be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). They must also be certified as a Small Business (SB) or Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) with the Department of General Services (DGS). Additionally, bidders are required to submit a non-collusion declaration and comply with prevailing wage laws if the total bid exceeds $15,000.
