Background
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is issuing this Invitation for Price Quote (IFPQ) # 11A4422 for HVAC replacement services in San Diego County. The contract aims to replace outdated Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems to enhance operational efficiency and maintain environmental standards. Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, equipment, tools, parts, materials, supplies, permits, disposal fees, travel, and incidentals necessary for the following tasks:

1. Remove three existing HVAC units and install two new units:
- One 5-ton Carrier heat pump split system (CU-1/FC-1).
- One 4-ton Carrier heat pump split system (CU-2/FC-2).

2. Remove existing humidifier and dehumidifier; install new units of equivalent specifications.

3. Install two new locking heat pump security cages for the condensing units.

4. Perform unforeseen labor as directed by Caltrans Contract Manager.

5. Ensure compliance with state prevailing wage laws and other applicable regulations throughout the project.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence on June 30, 2026, or upon approval by Caltrans and will expire on June 29, 2027.
