**Certified SB and DVBE Only** Roof Services in Amador, Alpine, and San Joaquin Counties

Background
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is issuing this solicitation for roof services in Amador, Alpine, and San Joaquin Counties. The goal of the contract is to provide necessary labor, tools, equipment, and materials to clean, repair, and replace damaged roofing systems at various maintenance stations. This contract is authorized under Government Code Section 14838.7 for public works projects valued between $5,000 and $461,000, aimed at certified Small Businesses (SB) and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE).

Work Details
The contractor is required to furnish all labor, tools, equipment, travel, and incidentals needed to clean, repair, remove and legally dispose of existing damaged roof material. They will also furnish and install a new 40-year replacement roof over the existing roof (which has a 30-year felt), along with flashings and other roof components.

The specific locations for the work include:
1. Peddler Hill Maintenance Station - approximately 3,645 sq ft
2. Pine Grove Maintenance Station - approximately 2,900 sq ft
3. Woodfords Maintenance Station - approximately 4,264 sq ft
4. Stockton North Electrical Structural Steel Paint Maintenance Station - approximately 5,410 sq ft

The contractor must ensure that all roofing materials are replaced in-kind unless otherwise directed by the Caltrans Contract Manager. They are also responsible for ensuring that the new roofing system meets performance requirements specified by Caltrans.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence on June 30, 2025 (estimate), or upon approval by Caltrans. The agreement will expire on June 30, 2026 (estimate). All services must be performed during normal business hours from Monday to Friday.

The work will be performed at various locations within Amador, Alpine, and San Joaquin Counties including:
- Peddler Hill Maintenance Station: 41951 Highway 88, Pioneer, CA 95666
- Pine Grove Maintenance Station: 19587 Highway 88, Pine Grove CA 95665
- Woodfords Maintenance Station: 18935 Highway 88, Markleeville, CA 96120
- Stockton North Electrical Structural Steel Paint MS: 3330 Ad Art Road, Stockton CA 95215.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be certified as a Small Business (SB) or Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) registered with the Department of General Services (DGS). They must possess a valid Contractor's State License Board (CSLB) license appropriate for the work being undertaken and have current registration with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). Bidders must also submit a non-collusion declaration for public works and comply with all insurance requirements as outlined in the Proposed Form of Agreement.
