Background
The California Department of Education (CDE) is soliciting bids to provide certified Athletic Trainer services for the California School for the Deaf, Riverside (CSDR) located at 3044 Horace Street, Riverside, CA 92506. The contract start date is anticipated to begin approximately on July 1, 2024, contingent upon approval of the agreement by the Department of General Services (DGS), if required. The contract includes two one-year options to renew.

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide Certified Athletic Trainer (AT) services for CSDR, including routine and emergency care for injuries to deaf student-athletes, development of individual injury prevention programs, provision of preventative devices, maintenance of accurate records of injuries and treatments for student-athletes.
The AT will also liaise with family physicians and specialists, communicate with the school and student-athletes' parents regarding injuries and medical attention needs. Additionally, the AT will be required to attend various sports events and camps to provide medical assistance as needed.

Period of Performance
The contract period is from July 1, 2024 (or upon DGS Approval) to June 30, 2025.
There are two one-year options to renew: July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026 and July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027.

The services will be performed at California School for the Deaf, Riverside (CSDR) located at 3044 Horace Street, Riverside, CA 92506.
