Calle Real Pump Station Rehabilitation

Background
The Calle Real Pump Station Rehabilitation project is issued by the City of San Clemente, aimed at upgrading the existing pump station to enhance its operational efficiency. The project involves significant mechanical and electrical upgrades to ensure reliable service in the T-425 Zone.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for removing existing mechanical and electrical equipment at the Calle Real Pump Station (T-425 Zone to 6-657 Zone) and constructing new mechanical and electrical equipment to upgrade the pump station (T-425 Zone to 10-760). The scope of work includes:

- Upgraded electrical service
- New switchboard
- New motor control center
- New vertical turbine pump
- Suction and discharge piping
- Valves
- Instrumentation
- Appurtenances
- Architectural improvements to the building structure
- Testing, disinfection, startup and commissioning
- Site improvements as per contract documents.

Period of Performance
The project will have two Notice to Proceeds (NTPs): the first NTP for administrative work (shop drawing submittals, material procurement) and the second NTP for mobilization and site work. The second NTP must occur no later than 60 working days after the first NTP. All work must be completed within 300 working days from the date of the second NTP.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the Calle Real Pump Station located in San Clemente, California.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a Class 'A' California State Contracting License in good standing. All electrical work must be performed by a contractor or subcontractor with a valid California C-10 certificate at the time of bid opening. A bid bond equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid amount is required. The project is subject to prevailing wage requirements applicable to the locality. Contractors must obtain a City Business License prior to starting work.
