Calle Frontera Lift Station Soil Stabilization Project

The Calle Frontera Lift Station Soil Stabilization Project involves a comprehensive scope of work including the maintenance of lift station operations to the greatest extent possible throughout the project. The contractor will be responsible for clearing and grubbing the perimeter as necessary to provide construction access. The project also requires the demolition and disposal of Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) and Asphalt Concrete (AC) pavement within the lift station perimeter walls. Existing utilities and lift station improvements that are not designated for removal must be protected at all times. Additionally, the contractor must remove and salvage the antenna pole, perform excavations, and install new concrete cast-in-drilled-hole pile foundations. Following this, the contractor will form and construct a new concrete pile cap, reinstall the salvaged antenna pole on a new concrete pedestal, and construct closure pours to connect new and existing foundations. The scope also includes repairing perimeter wall expansion joints, modifying the lift station's aboveground plumbing to recenter vertical discharge pipes within existing sleeves, constructing a new V-gutter, performing PCC flatwork, and completing AC paving. This includes the removal, salvage, and reinstallation of pipe supports as needed. Miscellaneous landscaping, planting, and irrigation maintenance and repairs are also part of the contract requirements.
