C5613348-D - Asbestos Abatement, Lead-Based Paint, Lead-Containing Paint, and Lead-Containing Materials Removal Services

Background
The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) is seeking a contractor to provide asbestos abatement, lead-based paint, and lead-containing materials removal services. The goal of this contract is to ensure the safe removal of hazardous materials at the Correctional Training Facility (CTF), located in Soledad, California.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, materials, permits/licenses, equipment, and other expenses required for the following services:

1. Asbestos Abatement Services during normal business hours (8:00 AM to 4:00 PM) and outside of normal business hours.

2. Lead Abatement Services during normal business hours and outside of normal business hours.

The contractor must bid on each item listed in the Excel Rate Sheet (Exhibit B-1), which includes hourly rates for workers and supervisors for various scenarios including emergency services. The state reserves the right to adjust the scope of work as needed.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed on an as-needed basis with specific time frames determined by the requirements of the CDCR.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the Correctional Training Facility (CTF), located at 5 Miles North of Soledad on US Highway 1, Soledad, California 93960.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must certify under penalty of perjury that they qualify as California companies to be eligible for a reciprocal preference against nonresident contractors. Bidders are also required to list all subcontractors who will perform work exceeding half a percent of the total bid and must comply with DVBE participation goals if applicable.
