C5611925-D, Radiation Detection Services (Whole-Body Film Badge Dosimetry)

Background
This is a master agreement in which the contractor shall perform radiation detection services (whole-body film badge dosimetry) for CDCR locations state wide. The contract is issued by the State of California, Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), and the goal of the contract is to monitor radiation exposure for employees at various CDCR institutions.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide radiation detection services, including whole-body film dosimetry, monitoring badge wearers and locations for x-ray, beta, and gamma ray exposure in accordance with applicable Federal and State regulations and quality assurance standards on a quarterly basis.
The contractor shall also provide initial setup for employees, mail replacement film to CDCR, provide contact information for service initiation, and generate a Report of Exposure for the film badges.
The CDCR will be responsible for mailing the film badges to the Contractor at the State’s expense within 45 days of the end of the quarterly wear period.
Inspections will be carried out by the CDCR to check on the quality of work before payment will be approved.
