C24900001 - Hungry Valley SVRA Refuse, Recycle & Organic Waste Collection

Background
The Department of Parks and Recreation - Great Basin District is seeking qualified bids to provide Refuse, Recycle, and Organic Waste Collection and Disposal services from various parks within the Mojave sector.
The goal of this contract is to ensure proper waste management in the Hungry Valley State Vehicular Recreation Area (HV SVRA) located in Los Angeles County, California.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary for refuse and recycle waste collection at Hungry Valley SVRA. This includes:
- Regular pickups of 3-yard trash containers with a frequency of 1x per week.
- Estimated requirements include:
- Period of service from October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2026.
- Total estimated pickups: 117 pickups in the first year, 156 in the second year, and 39 in the final quarter.
- Additional services may include providing extra containers upon request and additional pickups as needed.

Period of Performance
The estimated contract term is from October 1, 2024, or upon DPR approval (whichever is later), terminating on September 30, 2026.
The contract performance period is set for a total of 24 months from authorization to commence work.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at Hungry Valley State Vehicular Recreation Area located at 46001 Orwin Way, Gorman, CA 93243.
